The Jack Brockhoff Child Health and Wellbeing Program

In late 2008, the Foundation awarded a special grant of $5,000,000 to The University of Melbourne (Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences) to establish The Jack Brockhoff Child Health and Wellbeing Program (the Program).  Professor Elizabeth Waters was appointed as the inaugural “Jack Brockhoff Chair of Child Public Health” and oversees the Program.

This grant is the largest amount ever awarded by an Australian Foundation or Trust to support a child health research program within a University. The idea around the grant was to recognise the legacy of Sir Jack Brockhoff on the centenary year of his birth and in the 30th year since he established the Foundation.
